Many of my research projects hold important pedagogical implications.  I summarized several of these studies and how they can inform music education in this guest appearance in the Music Mentorship Series released in 2021 by the Bridge & Wolak duo:

My interest in music education is two-fold: having worked with amazing teachers during my own training, I am now eager to share my knowledge with students seeking further guidance on their own artistic development.  Additionally, my ongoing research on music’s psychological basis offers a unique perspective complementing my performance background to inform both my teaching as well as the teaching of my colleagues.

Whether conducting percussion ensembles, coaching chamber groups, adjudicating music festivals or teaching privately, I draw upon my unique mix of experience as a performer, educator, and scholar of music to maximize student learning and growth.
