I thought that the waiting was the hardest part. And it still will be hard, but I think there might be a harder part. But first, just the facts update.

It's 1pm Sunday, and we're getting ready to take Davis in for biopsy and a central line being put in. He should be going down within the hour.

This is two procedures in one session on the operating table. First will be to put in a central line for IV, medications, etc. Two little incisions in his chest and neck area.

We've had so many great words of support and encouragement. Many been straight from God's Word, which I appreciate very much. As a pastor, I have often told others that "God is with you", and have prayed for people to have a good sense of that, that they would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is with them in the midst of every circumstance of life.

Not all of this has been scary. There's a TV and DVD in our room, and Davis is enthralled with both Diego and Dora. (Diego, Daddy can handle. I've been so thankful that we have such an amazing support system. Not only do we have family who are taking care of our other kids and will be coming to visit, but we have friends in the area who have offered anything we need. We have a pastor friend who's close to the hospital who's opened his home to us for sleeping at night (only one of us can be in the room with D overnight).

I've been wanting for a while to relaunch a blog, but every time I find time to sit down to write, I feel like I don't have much to say. But now I feel like I need an outlet, and this is going to be it. Not the way I would have ever chosen to re-launch, but I think this will be good for me, and maybe helpful for you along the way.
